When speaking about why he decided to head MGS4 Hideo Kojima reviled that he had received a number of death threats after announcing that he would be less involved in the project.

You got unique boses, big stories, and good gameplay. MGS is never over-hyped, MGS3 is one of the best game on the ps2. You can say MGS is not your cup of tea, but for you to say it sucks makes your whole comment pointless. 7 -
Thank youScythe 11.21.2005 13:57 I agree this series has been awesome I enjoyed each one, not 2 very much but it had it's moments. Part 3 was awesome with the Repair system and then depth of game play. Splinter Cell is to short and the challenge isn't as intence as MGS3. The Boss fights are great and there is never a dull moment, plus you get to see what's her name shripping in front of you. Smooth Snake, Real Smooth... 8 -

Don't try and say the games on the ps3 will be better because of more expensive hardware, both systems have mainly the same developers. If he doens't want to be just as a part of this, he doesn't have to. It's his series and I think after 3 games, he should decide to let others take over it. Unregistered - gev1l 11.21.2005 17:43 To number 3, I kind of see your point, the stupid plot lines of the series suck(I'm sorry but a secret organization who has a code name the la le li lu la lo, too stupid for words hould have just kept the called the patriots, the plot twists are confusing as well as pointless and sound like something you would see in a spy spoof or a cliched spy movie) However Knowing all of this about metal gear why did I just buy MGS2:Substance for my xbox? Cause even with the overwrought stupid annoying plot, it still has some of the most enjoyable sneaking atround gameplay ever. The only other stealth game I iked even close to the metal gear series is probably manhunt, but then again that just goes to show that I'm sick! 21 -

The question is whether the titles will be bundled on Blu-ray DVD discs or on a built-in hard drive. BTW- Gamer Steve has released his latest Podcast which covers the Xbox 360 event. A big surprise (well not to many) is Perfect Dark Zero is covered as an absolute and complete failure. All three members of the Podcast are unanimous in their review that the game -- absolutely horrible. Nothing, from the graphics, to the single-player campaign, to the multiplayer is remotely next-gen, or playable for that matter. "If I were J Allard, I would SERIOUSLY reconsider putting this game out in a month" The most vehement of Xbox fanatics would be hard pressed to admit this game is not a failure at this point. Rare has yet to deliver anything close to a quality game since being acquired by Microsoft. Unfortunately for Rare, no matter where we look PDZ does not even rate generation 1.5 or 1.0 but rather generation Nintendo 64. We feek Joystiq put it best with the following statement: I’m not sold on PDZ. Honestly, I’m more likely to purchase Call of Duty 2 as my first Xbox 360 FPS. Nothing was impressive about it—not even the “next-gen” visuals. As soon as I got home, I popped in Far Cry Instincts hoping that after a complete day of 360ing, it would seem dated. Well, I didn’t. PDZ isn’t the next step, but to be fair, launch titles rarely are. Still, I can’t endorse this game. Yes, it will have its moments, but I stand by my claim, Perfect Dark Zero will not be able to carry the Xbox 360’s launch next month. With Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Conker: Live and Reloaded falling flat, it seems Microsoft has essentially burned the economy of a small nation on a has-been company with no chance of making a come back. PDZUnregistered - Akakage 11.22.2005 16:26 I don't really agree with that podcast as PDZ is a great game. I've been able to play it for a little while and it is definitely a good game. A killer App?..probably not, but still a great game. PDZ won't be the system seller that Halo was but its still good in its own right. With the exception of Halo how many launch titles have been the "Killer Apps" that has sold console? PS2 their best launch title was SSX..not a system selling game. Dreamcast had Soul Calibur which sold most Dcasts and Nintendo has Mario. Most people buy consoles for games that are on the horizon not necessarily for the "launch" titles. You just want a launch title that will keep your interest until your game of choice (DOA 4 in my case) comes out. PDZ has awesome multiplayer which is really the main feature I look for in a FPS. 37 -
